S. M. I. B. This word seems to be known by many locals and transplants alike. Many of the out-of-towners thought it was a funny derogatory term for southern maryland im-bred, which i find most insulting ( being as i and my staff are all locally grown! and we all local is better! ) and it shows the high level of intelligence most of these newcomers possess. Most people however didnt know that the true orgin of the word SMIB lies deep within our colonial history.
